Ratings 2025 | Seven is Perth’s undisputed #1 network – The Seven Network is Perth’s most watched television network for the 2025 ratings survey year, with 7NEWS continuing its dominance as Perth’s #1 news service and 7plus growing 42.6% this year.
For the official OzTAM ratings survey year, which ran from 9 February to 29 November, Seven was #1 in Perth in total TV, with a 47.5% total TV commercial share in all people between 6.00am and midnight, and a 45.7% share from 6.00pm to midnight.
Seven was also #1 in grocery shoppers, with a 45.4% commercial share during prime time and 47% across the entire day, and #1 in 25 to 54s with a 45.5% share from 6.00am to midnight and 40% from 6.00pm to midnight.
7plus ended the ratings year in Perth with a 48.4% share of commercial BVOD viewing, up from 45% in the same period last year, and was #1 in live viewing and VOD.
7NEWS Perth once again finished the ratings year as the #1 news bulletin. The 6.00pm bulletin recorded an average total TV audience of 122,000 viewers each night, up 4% year-on-year, and was up 61% on 7plus.7NEWS is #1 in all key demographics, including a commanding 47% lead in all people and 44% in grocery shoppers.
The AFL Grand Final was Perth’s biggest television event of the year, with a total TV audience of 441,000 – the highest since 2021 and up 14% year on year. For the 2025 AFL Finals Series alone, the total TV audience grew by 58% year-on-year, reinforcing Seven as the home of sport in Perth.
Seven’s Summer of Cricket is off to a flying start in WA, with the total TV audience for the First Test in Perth up 55% year-on-year and recording a massive 304% increase in people streaming on 7plus Sport.
The 2025 Channel 7 Telethon, which raised a record breaking $90,160,275 for sick, vulnerable and disadvantaged children, also grew its audience this year. Nationally, more than 1.2 million tuned in over the weekend, with the total TV audience up 24%. Total TV in Perth was also up 22%.

Seven’s entertainment programming is also going from strength to strength in Perth with Australian Idol up 15% and MKR up 12% year-on-year in total TV.
