Glenn Robbins and Mick Molloy reveal title of new series on Triple M this morning – Glenn Robbins and Mick Molloy have announced the title of their upcoming television series, Glenn and Mick’s Celebrity Intervention, set to air on Seven and 7plus later this year.
The reveal was made on Triple M, following a teaser from Molloy on Mick in the Morning earlier this week. Robbins joined Molloy on air this morning to officially confirm the title and discuss the concept behind the show.
After joking about several rejected ideas, Robbins revealed the final title.
“It’s called Glenn and Mick’s Celebrity Intervention,”
– Robbins said.
The series will see Robbins and Molloy confronting well-known Australian celebrities about controversial or questionable moments from their past.
“We’re going to take well-known celebrities and grill them about things they’ve done that they shouldn’t have done,” Molloy explained.
Robbins said the show is framed as an intervention-style format, with appearances from the celebrities’ friends, family and colleagues.
“We’re bringing them in to make sure everything is okay and to work through some things so they can get on with their life,” he said.
The pair described the series as having a satirical tone, while positioning it as a form of social commentary.
“The show is more of a community service than it is entertainment,” Robbins added.
Glenn and Mick’s Celebrity Intervention will premiere on Seven and 7plus later this year.
The show can be followed on Instagram via @celebrityintervention.
