JOHANNA – THE LAKE HOUSE
Johanna’s heading to Daylesford to meet one of the greats of the Australian dining scene, renowned chef and restaurateur, Alla Wolf-Tasker. At the iconic Lake House Hotel & Restaurant, everything begins with local, seasonal produce—much of it grown just down the road at Alla’s family-run Dairy Flat Farm. Johanna’s chatting with Alla about her enduring commitment to place and produce and to find out what she’s learned over 40 years running this iconic dining institution.
COLIN – COLIN’S FISH FINGERS & TARTARE SAUCE
Say goodbye to the boxes in the freezer aisle, homemade fish fingers taste so much better and they’re so easy to make, too. Colin’s serving his with a delicious tartare sauce that’s spiked with capers, lemon zest and cornichons, plus the world’s best mushy peas. Fish fingers have never tasted this good.

JULIET – RENTER-FRIENDLY BEDHEADS – WEEK TWO
Last week, Juliet used pool noodles to create a curvy fabric headboard which really made a statement. This week, she’s back with a more understated and laidback bedhead which is just as easy to put together. Made with off-the-shelf timber and strips of fabric, this no-sew Scandi-style headboard is guaranteed to add a little bit of hygge to your place.

GRAHAM – SOWING THE SEEDS TO SPRING SUCCESS
Creating a meadow garden is a lot easier than you might think…you just need to know when and how to start. DR HARRY – INSIDE THE ARC
This week, Dr Harry’s meeting some stars that are slimy, creepy and totally cold-blooded. He’s at Taronga Zoo’s newest conservation centre, the state-of-the-art Amphibian & Reptile Conservation Centre, or ARC, where you can meet some of the world’s most fascinating creatures. From the prehistoric Alligator Snapping Turtle to the critically endangered Corroboree Frog, plus plenty more, ARC celebrates the beauty and resilience of amphibians and reptiles in our changing world. Join Dr Harry for a look behind-the-scenes at this amazing facility.

CLARISSA – THAI BEEF SALAD
If you wish you were lazing on the beaches of Thailand right now, Clarissa’s got a dish to transport you there…or your tastebuds, at least! Her Thai beef salad is packed full of fresh and zesty flavours. With beef strips marinated in a fragrant lemongrass, garlic & coriander paste, plus loads of veggies and herbs all smothered in a delicious lime dressing, salad has never tasted so good!

ADAM – CHOPPING BOARD WITH A SECRET
Adam’s making a clever chopping board that doesn’t just help you prep food, it helps keep your kitchen counters clean, too. It has a clever design secret which means you can get your chopped veggies to the cooktop without moving the board at all…and with no spills involved. It’s a simple idea that makes life a little bit easier and once you’ve made one, you’ll never look back.

CHARLIE – CHARLIE’S HOT POTS
You might think that a concrete covered patio exposed to strong winds and harsh sun is not the best place for a garden…but if you ask Charlie, it’s all about changing your perspective. He’s turning this most unlikely of spaces into a gorgeous Mediterranean-style retreat using lots of pots and tough plants and the finished result is a real beauty.
MELISSA – MINIATURE CACTUS GARDEN PROJECT
If you’re a little cacti-crazy, like Melissa, then you’ll know how fun it is to find new ways to display them. This week, Melissa’s got a cracker of an idea for displaying cacti in small spaces…and giving a second life to your old broken garden pots at the same time. With loads of layers and lots of lovely succulents, the finished result looks like a multi-layered landscape, all within the confines of a terracotta pot. And it couldn’t be easier to make.
JULIET – SHORTCUT – BUZZ OFF WITH STYLE
Citronella candles and incense coils are a great way to keep away uninvited guests when you’re entertaining outside, but they’re not exactly stylish. So this week, Juliet’s sharing an easy hack for creating your own citronella candles using recycled jars and glasses so you can tell the mozzies to buzz off in style…and the best part is, you’re recycling at the same time.
