MOVIE REVIEW | 200% Wolf – 200% Wolf is a charming and light-hearted sequel to the popular Australian animated film, 100% Wolf. The story continues the adventures of Freddy Lupin, a young werewolf who must come to terms with the fact that he won’t transform into a fierce wolf like his ancestors, but rather a tiny, fluffy pink poodle. While the premise might seem silly on the surface, the film delivers a heartfelt message about acceptance, embracing one’s uniqueness, and staying true to oneself.

Unlike more universally appealing family films like Inside Out, which offer layers of humor and references that resonate with both children and adults, 200% Wolf is squarely aimed at its younger audience. Toddlers and primary-aged children will find themselves thoroughly entertained by the film’s vibrant animation, fast-paced sequences, and playful humor.

My two-year-old son and ten-year-old nephew were captivated, laughing throughout and immersing themselves in the colorful world beyond their usual favorites like Coco Melon and Bluey. The film’s appeal to young children is undeniable, with its engaging characters, lively soundtrack, and simple yet effective storytelling.

MOVIE REVIEW | 200% Wolf

As a parent, I appreciated the film’s clear and gentle messages about self-acceptance and finding one’s own path. While it may not have the emotional depth or universal appeal of classics like The Lion King, 200% Wolf succeeds in delivering a wholesome and enjoyable experience for families. It’s a film that, while primarily focused on entertaining the little ones, offers just enough warmth and positivity to keep the whole family engaged.

200% Wolf – now screening in cinemas

About 200% Wolf

200% Wolf – A follow up to the Australian animated feature film, 100% Wolf, in which our hero, Freddy Lupin, had to grapple with the shock revelation that he is destined not to be a mighty werewolf like all of his family, but a tiny pink poodle!

In 200% Wolf, Freddy Lupin thinks he has everything it takes to lead his werewolf pack, but earning the respect of his packmates proves to be a challenge. If only he were more… wolfish.

But when a wayward wish transforms him into a werewolf and deposits a mischievous moon spirit on earth, Freddy must restore the cosmic order before it’s too late!

With Batty and his dog pals along for the ride, Freddy must seek out a dangerous sorceress with a grudge against the wolf pack, before his new moon spirit friend runs out of life energy and fades away!

If the team can avoid being turned into were-toads and Freddy can resist the pull of forbidden earth-magic, maybe they can send the spirit home and save the world. One thing’s for sure – Freddy will never question being a poodle again!

This the cutest movie ever. Moon Po is simply adorable in every way, when he turns evil and then vomits it makes me think of drunk people who have way too many drinks. Batty falls in love with a bat is an amazing idea and way for her to conquer her fear of bats. Max is pure evil but they way she is punished for her mistakes made me laugh because that is what I always call Karma. The end made me cry and love it even more. This is a movie that all ages will definitely love.
