MOVIE | Zootopia 2 song ‘Zoo’ by Shakira out now – The all-new original song “Zoo” that features in Walt Disney Animation Studios’ upcoming animated adventure “Zootopia 2” launches today.

The single has Shakira on vocals who returns as the voice of Zootopia’s biggest pop star, Gazelle. “Zoo” music and lyrics has Ed Sheeran, Blake Slatkin and Shakira as writers, and produced by Blake Slatkin, Alex (A.C.) Castillo, Shakira and Ed Sheeran as producers.

The “Zootopia 2” score is composed by Academy Award®-winner Michael Giacchino and launches as a part of the complete soundtrack on Friday, November 21, ahead of the film’s cinematic release on Thursday, November 27.

“Zoo” will resonate with fans of the breakout anthem “Try Everything” featured in the original Oscar® winning film “Zootopia” a 2016. release. “Try Everything” streams 2.7 billion times worldwide to date.

In Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Zootopia 2,” rookie cops Judy Hopps (using Ginnifer Goodwin’s voice) and Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman’s voice) find themselves on the twisting trail of a great mystery. Gary De’Snake (voice of Ke Huy Quan) then arrives in Zootopia and turns the animal metropolis upside down.

To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to startling new parts of town, putting to a test their growing partnership like never before. The film also features the voices of Fortune Feimster, Andy Samberg, and Idris Elba. Other voices were that of Patrick Warburton, Quinta Brunson, and Nate Torrence, while Shakira returns as Gazelle.

Oscar®-winning directors Jared Bush and Byron Howard and producer Yvett Merino, the team from Disney Animation, are responsible in bringing this to you. Zootopia 2 hits Australian and New Zealand cinemas November 27, 2025.
