MOVIE | Freakier Friday original soundtrack out now – The Original Soundtrack for Disney’s “Freakier Friday,” the eagerly anticipated sequel to the beloved 2003 film, is available today from Hollywood Records.

The soundtrack is comprised of all-new recordings by the film’s cast and fictional band “Pink Slip” and more, as well as an all-new original score from composer Amie Doherty. Linda Cohen serves as music supervisor.

The soundtrack includes all-new recordings of the iconic Pink Slip song “Take Me Away” from the original film, produced by Suzy Shinn (known for her work with Panic! at the Disco, Weezer, Fall Out Boy, Alicia Keys, and Dua Lipa), with lead vocals performed by returning cast Christina Vidal Mitchell.

A cover of Pink Slip’s “Ultimate” is performed by Canadian alternative rock band The Beaches, who were bestowed the Juno Award for Group of the Year in 2024 and 2025. Multi-platinum songwriter and producer Sarah Aarons (known for her work with Zedd, Alessia Cara, and Maren Morris) contributed the original song “Baby.”

The track listing for the Soundtrack is as follows:
  1. “Baby (Acoustic)” – Performed by Lindsay Lohan
  2. “Better Than the Last One (Ella)” – Performed by Chantry Johnson
  3. “One Fine Day” – Performed by Maitreyi Ramakrishnan
  4. “Baby” – Performed by Lindsay Lohan and Julia Butters
  5. “Take Me Away” – Performed by Pink Slip and Christina Vidal Mitchell
  6. “Ultimate” – Performed by The Beaches
  7. “The Plan” – Performed by Amie Doherty (Score)
  8. “Classic Coleman Chaos” – Performed by Amie Doherty (Score
  9. “What A Freaking Day” – Performed by Amie Doherty (Score)
  10. “Double Switch, Double Trouble” – Performed by Amier Doherty (Score)
  11. “Baby (Beach)” – Performed by Lindsay Lohan

In the film, Curtis and Lohan reprise their roles as Tess and Anna Coleman. The story picks up years after Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) endured an identity crisis. Anna now has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter.

As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice. “Freakier Friday” is directed by Nisha Ganatra and based on the book “Freaky Friday” by Mary Rodgers.

The film, which also stars Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Manny Jacinto, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Rosalind Chao, Vanessa Bayer, and Mark Harmon, is produced by Kristin Burr, p.g.a., Andrew Gunn, p.g.a., and Jamie Lee Curtis, with Nathan Kelly, Ann Marie Sanderlin, and Lindsay Lohan serving as executive producers.

About Suzy Shinn:

Suzy Shinn is a multi-GRAMMY® nominated music producer, songwriter, and recording engineer based out of Los Angeles, California. She is known for her work with Weezer, Modest Mouse, SOPHIE, Panic! At the Disco, Fall Out Boy, Alicia Keys, and Dua Lipa.

Originally from Wichita, Kansas, Suzy’s lifelong obsession with music began when she picked up a guitar at age seven and started writing and recording her own songs only a few years thereafter. At seventeen, Suzy moved to Boston, Massachusetts, and attended Berklee College of Music until she dropped out and moved to L.A. two years later.

With an extensive discography that continues to expand and evolve across pop, rock, and every genre in between, Suzy has become one of the most in-demand record producers in the industry today. Her Silverlake studio has turned into a creative hub where artists come from all over the world to innovate and collaborate.

About Beaches:

Captivating the indie-rock scene with rich 80s-tinted melodies and quick-witted lyrics, The Beaches have unleashed their neighborhood namesake group onto the music world with Eliza Enman-McDaniel (on drums) and Leandra Earl (on keys and guitar), and sisters Jordan and Kylie Miller (on lead vocals/bass and guitar, respectively).

They’ve been named one of Canada’s greatest acts by Exclaim magazine, and the proof is in the plays with 6 No. 1 singles on Canadian Alt Radio with “Grow Up Tomorrow,” No. 1 for seven weeks. Known for their rousing live performances that summon their audience into a realm of intoxicating energy and an undeniable connection, The Beaches have opened for Avril Lavigne, The Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters, Alanis Morissette, The Aces, Passion Pit, and the Eagles of Death Metal.

There is no denying their lure on the stage and in everyone’s playlists, including the great Elton John, who called their album ‘Late Show’ the “best album of last year.” Following their Juno Award-winning project “Sisters Not Twins (The Professional Lovers Album),” The Beaches returned with their sophomore studio album, cracking their upbeat, brazen shell to reveal a more vulnerable inside on “Blame My Ex.”

Now with their latest release “Last Girls at the Party,” The Beaches are getting ready for an epic new era. With their latest singles “Takes One to Know One,” “Jocelyn!” and “Last Girls at the Party,” don’t miss The Beaches’ next hit!

About Amie Doherty:

Irish composer Amie Doherty made history as the first woman to score a DreamWorks animated feature film with the 2021 release “Spirit Untamed.” Other notable projects include Marvel Studios’ “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law,” Universal’s “Please Don’t Destroy: The Treasure of Foggy Mountain,” Netflix’s “Blue Eye Samurai,” and Sony/Hulu’s “Happiest Season.”

Nominated for Breakthrough Composer of the Year by the International Film Music Critics Association in 2022, Amie has also been nominated for and won several Hollywood Music in Media and Society of Composers & Lyricists Awards. As an orchestrator and conductor, she has worked with Lady Gaga, Dave Matthews Band, and 50 Cent.

About Linda Cohen:

Linda Cohen has music supervised over 100+ film and television programs, working with directors such as Paul Thomas Anderson, Benny Safdie, George Clooney, Alex Prager, Mira Nair, and Nisha Ganatra. Her current projects include Benny Safdie’s new film “The Smashing Machine” and Paul Thomas Anderson’s new film “One Battle After Another.”

She is currently working on the television programs “The Morning Show,” “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters,” and “The Agency.” She also recently completed the documentary “Mr. Scorsese” for Apple TV+, directed by Rebecca Miller, and the independent film “Poetic License,” directed by Maude Apatow.

Other credits include the Oscar®-winning film “Argo,” “Licorice Pizza,” “Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist,” and the “Classical Baby” TV series.
