HOYTS announces further cinema expansion at Morley in Perth – HOYTS will expand to a 61st cinema across Australia and New Zealand with the addition of a newly renovated multiplex at Galleria Shopping Centre in Perth due to open in 2026.
HOYTS Cinemas is teaming up once again with local WA favourite ACE Cinemas to bring a
brand-new movie experience to Perth’s Galleria Shopping Centre. This joint venture will deliver
a complete transformation of the Morley cinema, including HOYTS’ signature extra-comfy
powered recliners, D-BOX Motion Recliners, and an upgraded foyer and Candy Bar.
This project reinforces HOYTS’ position as Australia’s number one cinema exhibitor and its
ongoing commitment to delivering world class entertainment to communities across the
country. With a proven track record of transforming cinemas into vibrant destinations, HOYTS
continues to invest in revitalising cinemas and introducing cutting-edge technology that
redefines the big screen experience.
For Morley, this means creating a destination that brings moviegoers back to the cinema and sets a new benchmark for entertainment in the region.
Despite the challenges of COVID shutdowns and industry headwinds with streaming
companies, Morley will be the ninth cinema HOYTS has opened since 2020. Over that time
HOYTS has grown market share and remains committed to the cinema experience.

The cinema’s redevelopment works will commence next year, with the reopening expected to
be in late 2026. The new cinema upgrade is in tandem with Perth Galleria’s $240 million
redevelopment.
