The Secret Lives of Animals on Apple TV+ trailer – Today, Apple TV+ revealed the trailer for the new 10-part docuseries āThe Secret Lives of Animals,ā set to premiere on 18 December. Narrated by SAG Award winner Hugh Bonneville (āPaddington,ā āDownton Abbeyā). āThe Secret Lives of Animalsā highlights 77 unique species in 24 countries over three years, revealing stunning, never-before-seen animal behaviours and highlighting the remarkable intelligence of the natural world. Hailing from the acclaimed BBC Studios Natural History Unit, the series will debut on Wednesday, 18 December on Apple TV+.
āThe Secret Lives of Animalsā utilises cutting-edge technology to showcase new and remarkable animal behaviours. For the first time, āThe Secret Lives of Animalsā captures the sounds and vibrations of a unique jumping spider courtship dance, a killifish in Trinidad breathing through its tail when out of the water, and a wood mouse marking its territory with signposts. And witness a rarely seen relationship between a frog and tarantula, a land lizard that can breathe underwater, and a monkey that uses a bizarre nose-poking ritual as a test of friendship. Each episode focuses on specific behaviours that are pivotal in the life cycles of various animalsāfrom birth and leaving home to raising a family, and from finding food to growing oldāhighlighting their striking intelligence and adaptability.
The series explores some of Australiaās fauna, unveiling hidden secrets from the worlds of Palm Cockatoos, Australian Fur Seals and the iconic Kangaroo.
āThe Secret Lives of Animalsā is produced for Apple TV+ by BBC Studios Natural History Unit, with Matt Brandon (āPlanet Earth IIIā) serving as showrunner and Roger Webb (āMammals,ā āBig Cats 24/7ā) as executive producer. The series marks the third collaboration between the BBC Studios Natural History Unit and Apple TV+, following the hit, Emmy Award-nominated series āPrehistoric Planetā and āThe Year Earth Changed.ā
