WIN News appoints new network weather presenter

WIN News is pleased to announce the appointment of Sarah Cawte as Network Weather Presenter.

Cawte, who is based in the Wollongong newsroom, has honed her reporting and presenting skills across multiple major networks.

Prior to her WIN News appointment, Cawte’s most recent role included reporting news and presenting weather for Seven News Queensland. She has also reported for 9 Regional Wagga Wagga, 9 Queensland and has worked as a line-up producer for 9 Darwin.

Throughout her career Cawte has reported on issues including the floods, fires, crime, court, the 2020 Queensland state election, border closures, the first vaccine roll-out during the COVID-19 pandemic, and state visits by the Prime Minister.

WIN’s National Director of News Stella Lauri said she was thrilled to welcome Cawte to the WIN News family.

“Sarah has proven her ability to deliver robust reporting while also connecting with audiences when presenting the weather bulletins and daily news updates,” she said.

“She understands the regional Australian landscape and I have no doubt she will uphold our commitment to regional news.

Speaking about her new role, Cawte said:

Cawte began on air on Monday night.

WIN News airs weeknights at 5.30pm on WIN.
