10 Peach was the highest multi channel in 16-39.

10 Peach was the highest multi channel in 25-54.

ABC did beat 10 in total people network and primary channel shares. However, it should be noted that ABC have a massive advantage in older age brackets. In 16-39, 10 smashed ABC (19.8% to just 9.8%) and in 25-54 (19.8% to 10.5%) with network shares.

The main points to summarise this week from a Nine perspective are: 

  • Sunday’s episode of The Block was the No. 1 metro program of the week in all key demos of People 25-54, 16-39 and GS + Child. It was also the highest rating entertainment program of the week. 
  • 22 episodes of The Block have recorded a Total TV average audience in excess of 1 million viewers.
  • Episode 5 of The Block is the highest rating episode of the series to date with a Total TV average audience of 1.57 million.
  • The Reach of The Block in week 37 is 2.4 million viewers across the 5 City in Total People. In the key demo of 25-54 across the 5 City, The Block had a reach of 950k.
  • The Block series average across the 5 City for this week in the key demo of People 25-54 is 266k while in Total People, the series average is 631k. (graphs below).  
  • Across the network shares (prime time), 9Network recorded the following shares:

My Kitchen Rules – Tuesday: 898,000 total audience. 821,000 broadcast viewers nationally. Audience up 21% week-on-week.

My Kitchen Rules – Monday: 879,000 total audience. 801,000 broadcast viewers nationally, #1 in its timeslot in all people. Up 11% on the same episode last year.

Seven’s AFL: Friday Night Football Finals, Post-Game: 779,000 broadcast viewers nationally.

The Chase Australia: #1 game show of the week, 772,000 broadcast viewers nationally.

Home and Away: #1 drama program of the week, 732,000 broadcast viewers nationally. 

Better Homes and Gardens: #1 lifestyle program of the week, 647,000 total audience. 625,000 broadcast viewers nationally.

Sunrise: #1 breakfast show of the week, 349,000 average national audience Monday to Friday. 23% more broadcast viewers than its closest rival.
