TV Central Reaches Milestone with 10,000th Post: A Testament to Growth and Dedication – TV Central has reached a significant milestone, publishing its 10,000th post in less than two years since its launch.
This achievement reflects the dedication of the site’s administration team and the growing community of readers who have come to rely on it as a central hub for television, streaming, and cinema news.
Despite not yet reaching its second full year, the site has seen a remarkable volume of content, including nearly 2,500 television guides, not included in the 10 000 post tally. Impressively, the site’s post count only reflects unique content, as republished articles are counted as a single entry. For instance, if an article about an upcoming episode of 60 Minutes is published on Friday and then republished on Sunday, it is only counted once in the total tally.
In addition to its extensive library of written content, TV Central boasts a collection of over 170 podcasts featuring interviews with a wide range of guests—from celebrities and media commentators to programmers, executives, and reality TV contestants. This diverse content offering has made the site a go-to destination for those seeking comprehensive coverage of the entertainment industry.
The site has also recently expanded to include cinema previews and reviews, a move that has been well-received by its audience. This addition, along with a major mid-year redesign, has contributed to a significant increase in readership. Although the redesign initially caused a temporary dip in traffic as Google re-evaluated the site, the changes have ultimately made the platform more user-friendly and accessible.
Looking ahead, TV Central is planning further enhancements, including a move to a new hosting site to improve speed and a final update to the menu options in the ‘news’ section to enhance navigation.
TV Guides, especially those released on Sundays, remain one of the most popular features on the site. Despite the high volume of daily posts—sometimes between 20 to 30—TV Central remains committed to being a comprehensive source for all things related to television, streaming, and cinema, rather than focusing solely on content that might drive the most traffic. This holistic approach ensures that every story, no matter how niche, is given its due attention.
Podcasts, however, have emerged as the most popular feature on the site. The success of the “One on One” series, in particular, has led to studios, networks, and talent actively seeking out TV Central for interviews, a testament to the trust and credibility the site has built in a short time.
In reflecting on this milestone, I express gratitude to those who have contributed to the site’s success, including my best friend Zak, who frequently collaborates as a film reviewer, and Frank, who was instrumental in the recent website redesign.
As TV Central celebrates this achievement, the team looks forward to continuing to provide fresh content and expanding the site’s offerings, aiming for another 10,000 posts and beyond.
