RFDS on Channel 7 – RFDS is a gripping medical drama based in Australia’s red heart in all of its precarious beauty, where the modern-day heroes of the Royal Flying Doctor Service navigate private lives as turbulent and profound as the heart-stopping emergencies they attend.
Pete (Stephen Peacocke) discovers the emergency intervention he performed at White Cliffs has had major repercussions, before he, Wayne (Rob Collins) and Chaya (Emma Harvie) are called to a retrieval where they are challenged to keep a critically ill patient’s explosive secret from her volatile husband, a challenge made all the more difficult when they have to change course for an injured grey nomad.
Pete (Stephen Peacocke) gets an unsettling update on the patient from White Cliffs that leaves him rattled, as he is thrown into another challenging retrieval with Wayne (Rob Collins) and Chaya (Emma Harvie) to a woman suffering mysterious abdominal pain.
They discover she is keeping an explosive secret from her volatile husband, one they have to keep from him throughout the flight home, a challenge made all the more difficult when they have to divert for an injured grey nomad.
When Leonie (Justine Clarke) confides in Eliza (Emma Hamilton) her devastating diagnosis, empty nester Eliza decides to follow her heart back to Broken Hill, throwing a spanner in the works for Pete and his blossoming romance with Chaya.
Meanwhile, Mira (Ash Ricardo) gets some surprising news that she must keep under wraps from Wayne until she decides what she really wants her life to be.
