Sky News Australia releases Budget night coverage for Tuesday 25 October

Sky News will provide live unrivalled coverage and analysis as the Albanese Labor Government hands down its first Federal Budget tomorrow, five months after forming government.

The government is facing major economic challenges – rising interest rates and inflation, rising cost of living and budget blowouts in health, aged care, the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), as well as the increasing interest bill on the country’s record debt.

The government also must handle the expectation that it will implement its high spending election promises.

At 5:00pm, The Kenny Report with Chris Kenny will review the latest breaking news stories set to affect the Budget outcome.

Then at 6:00pm, a 90-minute special edition of Credlin, with Peta Credlin’s unique insight, and a line-up of leading economic experts and political commentators looking ahead to what Australia needs to hear from the Treasurer.

At 7:30pm, live from the House of Representatives, Treasurer Jim Chalmers will hand down the Albanese Government’s Budget 2022.

Following the speech, Chief News Anchor Kieran Gilbert will lead analysis from Parliament House live from 8:00pm with the Sky News team including Political Editor Andrew Clennell, Anchor and Political Reporter Laura Jayes, Business Editor Ross Greenwood and Sky News Anchors Paul Murray and Andrew Bolt.

Kieran and the Sky News team will be joined by Treasurer Jim Chalmers and Shadow Treasurer Angus Taylor for immediate response.
