High Stakes Industry Gameshow Event ‘Redlight Greenlight’ To Debut At SCREEN FOREVER 39 – Today, Screen Producers Australia (SPA) is excited to announce a bold and fast-paced new session at SCREEN FOREVER 39 (Tuesday, 6 May  – Thursday, 8 May 2025): Redlight Greenlight, where creativity meets competition in real-time.Â
Aaron Fa’aoso, a proud Torres Strait Islander and Managing Director at Lone Star Production Group, will host the live gameshow-style event.
Aaron will help steer a team of top-tier industry professionals who will be put to the ultimate test: develop a screen project and pitch from scratch in just 15 minutes while under the scrutiny of a panel of real-world buyers.
The industry team in the hot seat includes a powerhouse lineup of Australian talent made up of Tony Ayres, Tony Ayres Productions, Diya Eid, Orange Entertainment Co., Sara Richardson, Endemol Shine Australia, Writer and Creator Hannah Carroll Chapman, and Film and Television Writer Anya Beyersdorf.
Across three adrenaline-fuelled rounds, the team must brainstorm, problem-solve, and adapt as their idea evolves from concept to market-ready. But there’s a catch, Aaron can keep the team on track…or deliberately throw curveballs to challenge their thinking.
To the delight of some, the panel of reputable buyers judging the team’s project won’t hold back and are asked to give their honest and unbiased opinions, making for an interesting and out-of-the-box session.
Industry buyers confirmed to participate include Lana Greenhalgh, Head of Scripted Originals, Foxtel Group, Daniel Monaghan, Senior Vice President, Content & Programming, Paramount Australia and New Zealand, Rachel Okine, Head of Scripted, ABC, and Nakul Legha, Head of Scripted, SBS.
Part pitch lab, part pressure cooker, and all entertainment, Redlight Greenlight, produced by Orange Entertainment Co., offers a rare, behind-the-scenes glimpse into what it truly takes to turn an idea into a screen-ready reality. With live feedback from industry buyers, this session promises to be both an insightful learning experience and an unmissable highlight of the SCREEN FOREVER program.
Delegates are encouraged not to miss this fast, fun, and fiercely creative showdown.
Also today, SPA released tickets to the 23rd Annual SPA Awards, which champion outstanding Australian screen productions and showcase the skill, imagination, and innovative thinking of Australia’s production businesses and industry.
Tickets to the Awards are included in the price of a Gold Coast Badge, but tickets to the Awards alone can only be purchased by SPA members.
Delegates are encouraged to register now to secure their spot and avoid missing out on what is likely to be another sold-out event.
