We’re sure getting everyone back together will be nothing but love and laughter.
Hahahahaha okay, maybe not – but love and laughter are the best descriptors for the season’s most solid duo, Rhi and Jeff.
To the surprise of absolutely nobody, they’re still just has disgustingly happy as they were when we saw them last.
Look who else is back!
Katie, Ash, Billy, Tony, Tony’s funky suit! So many familiar faces!
The last time we saw Jamie, she and Dave were walking away hand-in-hand after committing to their relationship at Final Vows.
So uh, why is she now alone?
“After Final Vows, for me it became quite clear that Dave just wasn’t fully into me,” she explains.
Oh no.
They only broke up a week ago, and she’s upset that she was the one to have to do it because Dave was never open about his feelings.
His story is that they mutually decided to “wrap it up” after fizzling out, which does not seem at all like the one Jamie is about to tell the group.Play Video
Jamie and Dave reveal they have split
Meanwhile, Carina hasn’t seen Paul since she ended their relationship at Final Vows.
She’s very nervous to see him again and is still upset about him ruining their relationship with his Final Task decision.
Paul, however, has dried his tears and come back with… a brand new perspective?
MAFS EP 38 RECAP: A groom is left in tears by wife’s Final Vows decision while another couple’s marriage ends in sheer chaos
He reckons that actually, this is all Carina’s fault.
“I had suspicions that she obviously had a lot of insecurities and that she obviously had crazy jealousy tendencies and she proved my point at Final Vows,” he says.
How do you say ‘what the hell, man’ in French?
He then brands her a “big snob” – boy does he love to use that word – and is going into this dinner confident that he’s better off alone. Play Video
Paul has a surprising revelation as he reflects on his relationship with Carina
On the topic of confusing, how are Awhina and Adrian following their Final Vows break-up and immediate make-up?
Shockingly, they’re now back to break-up.
Awhina realised that their relationship didn’t make her feel good, and she hopes Adrian can recognise that he didn’t treat her well.Play Video
Awhina and Adrian reveal they have broken up
However, she may find herself caught up by something else.
Because Sierah is back – and with a vengeance. She says Awhina once insulted Adrian’s intelligence and business skills to her, and she plans to air it all out tonight.
That bombshell will be competing with another one, of course.
Because Jacqui and Clint are together, and absolutely nobody knows about this top secret information.
Scratch that, everybody knows.

Where are the MAFS Season 12 stars now?
What all the brides and grooms have been up to since leaving the experiment.
Since the experience, they’ve been in touch and also… touched… in other… ways, as Clint so joyfully puts it.
They’re expecting Ryan to be upset by this massive blindside, which is not actually a blindside at all.Play Video
Jacqui and Clint confirm they are a couple
In fact, when Ryan got wind of the rumours he called both Jacqui and Clint directly, and they each denied it.
It’s fine though. Jacqui’s not worried about any potential confrontation as she and Clint snap photos for a new shrine, this time at his place in Tasmania.
Cocktail Hour
At first, the reunions are lovely. There are hugs, cheers and laughs as the participants catch up for the first time in a while.
Awhina, who arrives alone, explains that she knows Sierah sent Adrian insulting texts about her but she has no bloody idea why.Play Video
Awhina reveals the shocking messages Sierah sent to Adrian
Adrian doesn’t realise it, but Awhina is also “f–king bitter” about how he treated her and she plans to let him know.
Of course, he arrives completely clueless. In fact, he reckons if he can work his magic their chemistry will be good as new.
Cocktail hour also brings awkward run-in after awkward run-in, as a bunch of exes come face-to-face.
Carina feels very uncomfortable about seeing Paul, who talks very fast when trying to convince Eliot (and probably himself) that he’s completely over her Final Vows rejection.
Eliot clocks that immediately: “I think he feels a little bit jilted, Carina rejected him and now he’s trying to save face.”
Conversation yet again turns to Sierah’s texts about Awhina, as Sierah is in her car brimming with excitement to “get to the Dinner Party and tell everybody to get f–ked”.
Right on cue, she arrives and the room turns ice cold.
Billy goes to greet her and gets completely blanked, before she goes and sits down next to Adrian.
BOLD MOVE.

Awhina heads over to confront them and yes, I guess we’re doing this now! Who needs dinner?
Things turn fiery. Immediately.
Sierah calls out Awhina’s treatment of her, which infuriates Jamie watching on.
Jamie yells at her, as Sierah denies ever expressing interest in Adrian.
“She berated me in front of everyone,” Sierah says.
“Because you were trying to f–k her husband!” Jamie yells, which she denies.
HAVE I MENTIONED WE’RE STILL AT COCKTAIL HOUR?
SOME PEOPLE HAVEN’T EVEN ARRIVED YET.
They continue arguing away from the group, as Awhina tells Sierah she was gobsmacked by her texts.
Rather than respond, Sierah just drops her in it by rattling off a list of things Awhina told her about Adrian being “stupid” and treating her badly.
Adrian is furious. To him, “dumb” is the worst insult in the world. He’s objectively wrong in that ranking, but fine.Play Video
Sierah drops a bombshell that turns Awhina and Adrian against each other
I have never been so happy to see Ryan, who arrives to break up the tension with good posture and warrior-level confidence.
The group cannot wait to hear all the goss about Jacqui and Clint, and Ryan indulges by revealing odd hints Jacqui gave him during the experiment that made him suspicious of her and Clint.
After sharing far, far too many “aw your perfect” compliments during their car ride, the couple of the hour finally arrive together.
And then enter the room separately. OK, fine.Play Video
Jacqui and Clint shock with separate arrivals
Clint goes first and Ryan immediately pulls him aside for a chat, saying he didn’t believe the rumours at first because he contact them directly and “you and me were mates…”
“First of all, I know you’ve been trying to message me and claim that we’re mates. We’re not f–king mates,” Clint responds.
WOAH.
Finally, Jacqui arrives and as they go to address the group, the familiar sound of a clinking glass plays out.
Dinner is served!
Dinner Party
Teejay kicks things off with a pleasant toast, but no one really cares. There is gossip to unpack, darling!
Jacqui and Clint are seated directly across from Ryan. Kudos to whoever planned that.
“Are you and Jacqui dating each other?’ Jamie yells down the table.
”We are,” he responds, to a beautiful chorus of claps, gasps and yells.
WATCH: Shocking development about Jacqui’s love life emerges as new relationship with co-star confirmed
Their official story is that two weeks after Final Vows, they started messaging and realised they were compatible.
Clint invited Jacqui to Tassie, where they’ve spent the last two weeks together.
Ryan doesn’t believe the timeline, saying they were chatting throughout his and Jacqui’s marriage and he’d confronted them about a rumour just two days before Final Vows.
Jacqui and Clint think Ryan is jealous, but really he is pissed about her using “lies and subterfuge” to keep their relationship going through to the end of the experiment.
“I TRIED MY ARSE OFF,” Jacqui yells across the table. “MY LITERAL ARSE, TO MAKE THIS RELATIONSHIP WORK.”
”You’re a pathological liar Jacqui,” Ryan says, as Clint tells her not to worry about his “delusional” point-of-view.
The group are then flabbergasted to learn that Jacqui is moving to Tasmania.
Ryan says Clint is gullible and they should piss off back to “whatever Tassie hole” he crawled out of.

From failed marriages to finding each other.
Tasmania is copping a lot of strays here! Tasmania, I’m sorry!
Clint then one ups him by offending millions of Sydneysiders: “Mate, you live in the Western suburbs. Let’s not talk anymore.”
He even doubles down to the camera: “I’m not in the Western suburbs in some one bedroom s–t house. Jacqui’s gone from a Kia to a Ferrari.”
Then they drop another bombshell.
“We’re starting a business together, which is actually the best part!” Jacqui beams to cameras.
Well who would have bloody thought this a few weeks ago! Play Video
Ryan reacts as Jacqui and Clint tell their love story to the group
Alright, who’s in need of a palette cleanser?
Thank goodness for Rhi and Jeff.
Sadly, hearing about how well they’re going is hard for Jamie.
When attention turns to what happened between them, Dave attempts to give it a positive spin.
Jamie’s frustration bubbles to the surface: ”Can we not give a bulls–t excuse, you just didn’t have feelings for me”.Play Video
Jamie is in tears as she explains her and Dave’s break-up
Emotional, she cries about Dave once again not being honest with her and gets up from the table for a moment alone.

The brides show Jamie their support
Next up on the chopping block are Carina and… mostly Paul.
He says things didn’t work as “she was struggling to move past that mistake that I made”.
“Which one?” she butts in.
Carina’s got zingers!
Paul declares this no laughing matter, because “she made a few mistakes as well”.
Anyway, her rejecting him “didn’t sit well” with him and he’s now decided Carina is a judgmental snob with trust issues that he doesn’t want to be with anyway.
Try as he might, absolutely no one buys his deflection.Play Video

Before things can turn back to her, Sierah decides to leave, offering a polite wave as she heads out the door for good.
Just kidding. She tells the camera they’re all “rabid hyenas” and she’s had enough.
Ah, well. See ya!
Adrian tells the group about Sierah’s bombshell, that Awhina insulted his business and spelling skills.
She denies ever saying that, but did confide in Sierah about Adrian treating her poorly.
Being called “stupid” has clearly hit a nerve, as Adrian says he’s had that his whole life.
“In my mind there’s no coming back from that,” he says, calling it the nail in the coffin.
To be fair, Awhina seems to be right there nailing that thing shut as well.
“You know what? I can be the bad guy in his story,” she says. “Because he’s the f–king devil in mine.”Play Video
Awhina and Adrian row at the table as one bride makes a dash
Wow, that was a lot. I need a nap!
We’ve only got one night to go, and there’s certainly plenty to unpack as the participants come face-to-face with the experts for their final night on the couch.
See you there, 7.30pm tomorrow.
