Ratings | Nine NBN claims ratings gold for 2025 – Nine|NBN finished the 2024 survey year with a network commercial share (6pm-Midnight) of 43.1%.
For the 32nd consecutive ratings year Nine|NBN has claimed the title of Northern NSWās most watched television network.
Nine|NBN secured a Total People FTA network share of 34.5%, and dominated in all advertiser preferred key demographics; 16-39, 18-49, 25-54 and Grocery Shopper 18+ ā Northern NSW.
This is an exceptional win for Nine|NBN against Seven Networkās 28.2%, ABC Networkās 19.9% and the 10 Networkās 14.2%.

NBN News (6-7pm, Sunday-Saturday) won all 40 weeks of official survey – Northern NSW.
NBN News Sunday is again the Number 1 News Program for 2024 dominating its timeslot, returning a result more than double that of its nearest competitor for both audience thousands and shares.

Nine|NBN secured 9 of the top 10 / 18 of the top 20 programs for 2024 (excluding Olympics), which included sports events such as the State Of Origin series, NRL Grand Final Day, and highest rating non-sports program, The Block.
Olympic Games Paris 2024
During the Olympic Games Paris 2024 Nine|NBN secured all 30 of the top 30 programs. Olympics coverage filled 26 of these positions, with the remaining consisting of NBN News Sunday, NBN News Weekday, NBN News Saturday and Sunday Afternoon NRL Live.
The highest rating Olympics coverage was the Day 3 Night Session (19:00-21:00) on 29/07/2024, attracting an average of 146,287 viewers – Northern NSW. In this session, our Aussie Dolphins demonstrated their skill in the swimming heats. Winnington advanced to the 800m freestyle final, while the reigning backstroke queen, Kaylee McKeown, clinched victory in her semi-final to secure a spot in the 100m backstroke final
Nine|NBN’s FTA network share dominated every night of the 2024 Olympics broadcast period (6pm-Midnight), for Northern NSW and all submarkets; Newcastle, Northern Rivers and Tamworth Taree.
Nine|NBN’s largest FTA network share (18:00-24:00) for total people was 52.9% on 28/07/2024, which also delivered a massive 79.0% network share for 16-39’s and 60.1% for 25-54’s. This evening featured the dayās swimming heats in which Australiaās Mollie OāCallaghan and Ariarne Titmus qualified for the semi-finals of the Womenās 200m Freestyle, and saw the Hockeyroos secure a 2-1 comeback win over South Africa in their campaign opener.
