Married at First Sight on Nine – Nine is set to clean up the last week of the ratings period (week commencing March 26th) with season finales of Married at First Sight (MAFS), The Hundred with Andy Lee and Under Investigation with Liz Hayes.
But could the network be out to guarantee themselves an additional week by playing the MAFS reunion episodes the following week?
I am hearing that a two part Married at First Sight reunion episode that was to play Tuesday 28 March and Wednesday 29 March, will instead play out on Sunday 2 April and Monday 3 April. That would all but guarantee the network another weekly win and create some noise for Lego Masters which I hear is planned for Easter Monday 10 April.
These two massive MAFS Reunion specials are likely to tarnish the start of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, in which 10 were expecting one week of free air before Nine released Lego Masters and Seven unveiled the new season of Farmer Wants a Wife.
With these two specials set to top 2 million in Total TV, there may not be room for any show on any network to do well against it. The logistics of 10 being able to move I’m a Celebrity forward a week due to the live nature and planning is low, so they could be caught in the crossfire.
The start of Q2 programming just got more interesting.
