TV Week Logies has Binge win for Colin from Accounts – BINGE’s first original comedy, Colin From Accounts, has taken home three wins at tonight’s 63rd Annual TV Week Logie Awards, becoming the equal most awarded show alongside Foxtel Group original, The Twelve.
The series took out the Most Outstanding Comedy Program, the first time a streaming service has taken home the award, with creators, writers and stars of the series, Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer, both winning Most Outstanding Actor and Actress respectively.
The critically acclaimed 8-episode series premiered to record-breaking viewing becoming the Foxtel Group’s most watched original scripted series of all time and has since been sold to multiple territories around the world, most recently the BBC where it launched to international praise.
Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer said:
“You don’t grow up in Australia thinking you will win a Logie. We are beyond pumped to have won this award and it means the world to be recognised with these awards, especially in your home country.”
Alison Hubert-Burns, BINGE Executive Director, said:
“We are thrilled to see Colin from Accounts recognised at tonight’s Logie Awards as the equal most awarded series with three awards including for Most Outstanding Comedy Program. It was a joy to make this series with the incredibly talented Patrick and Harriet, and our producing partners at Easy Tiger and CBS Studios.
It was in the lockdown days of Covid when Brian Walsh and I first read the scripts, laughed out loud and made it our mission to get the show made. We are thrilled it has connected so strongly with audiences here and around the world.
“We congratulate Patrick and Harriet on their individual awards as Outstanding Actor and Actress along with the talented cast and creatives on creating such a heart-warming and hilarious show and their award-winning performances.’’
