Lexi Landsman Joins BBC Studios Productions Australia – Lexi Landsman has joined BBC Studios Productions Australia as Development Executive, Unscripted.
Following a successful year for the company, Lexi joins Deb Spinocchia’s team developing formats and originals across factual, entertainment and reality as the business continues to grow.
Formerly Head of Development, Unscripted, for Fremantle Australia, Lexi played a key role in the commission of multiple new series including Tony Armstrong’s Extra-Ordinary Things (ABC). Prior to that, Lexi was a senior development producer at ITV Studios where she worked on the successful development and commission of shows Alone (SBS), My Mum,Your Dad (Channel 9), My Kitchen Rules (Channel 7) and Sydney Airport (SBS).
She spent 10 years at the Seven Network in factual and reality production and development, where her credits include Border Security, Emergency Call, World’s Richest Dogs, Towies (Netflix), Airways, Restaurant Revolution and Malcolm Naden: Australia’s Most Wanted and Con Girl (CJZ/Channel 7/Paramount+ UK) which she co-created.

The unscripted division of BBC Studios Productions Australia is currently in production on Top Gear Australia for Paramount +, Dancing With the Stars for Seven Network; and Mastermind for SBS. A second series of hit quiz show The 1% Club is currently on air on Seven Network with a third series already commissioned. The Great Australian Bake Off S8, based on the format created by Love Productions, will screen on Lifestyle/Binge later this year. Original unscripted titles for SBS are The MatchMakers, which screened in February and Ray Martin: The Last Goodbye which will air later in 2024.
On the scripted side, BBC Studios Productions Australia is currently filming local Death in Paradise spin-off Return to Paradise, produced with Red Planet Pictures for the ABC in association with the BBC. The Office Australia, co-produced with Bunya Entertainment, will screen on Prime Video later this year.
The company recently acquired Werner Film Productions which operates as an independent label.
As an author, Lexi has written two novels. Her second is in scripted development with another company for an adaptation into a psychological drama series.
