Aaron Jones hits 10 sixes to clinch the USA their first ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in the opening match – North America’s biggest sporting rivarly was ignited today when USA v Canada played the opening match for the highly anticipated 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Dallas.
Both playing in a Men’s ICC T20 World Cup for the first time, USA as the co-hosts put on a show for fans with an unbelievable batting display by Aaron Jones who hit 10 sixes in a monumental unbeaten 94 from only 40 balls.
Australia will play their first match against Oman on Thursday 6 June at 10:30am (AEST).
As one of the tournament favourites, Australia will be aiming to make history by becoming the first team to hold all three Men’s ICC trophies simultaneously,following their victories in the ICC World Test Championship Final and Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2023.
