When comedy trio Sooshi Mango posted their first video on social media 10 years ago, they had no idea what it would lead to. Brothers Joe and Carlo Salanitri, along with their best friend, Andrew Manfre, soon earnt a huge following, performing as three Italian-Australian dads, ‘Johhny, Vince and Sam’ and poking fun at their heritage with a unique blend of nostalgia and satire.
Today, their online content has earned over 1 billion views and they run a successful podcast, a restaurant and have toured with sell-out live shows across the country. Johanna’s meeting Johnny, Vince and Sam to check out their newly expanded restaurant on Lygon Street, which is decorated like an old-school Italian restaurant. She’ll be discovering the men behind the characters and the inspiration behind the laughter.
