7 Upfronts 2024 Exclusive | Extra Programming Information – The 2024 Channel 7 Upfronts have come and gone and judging by audience reaction and chatter, Dream Home with Dr Chris Brown could be a massive hit for the network.
Not every new and returning show is announced during the upfront presentation, so TV Central has your armchair guide to what was not mentioned at the presentation.
There are several new shows still to come, some that were previously announced at the 2023 Upfronts.
NEW SERIES
Alert
In Philadelphia Police Department’s Missing Person’s Unit, a woman and her ex-husband work on dangerous cases whilst striving to uncover the truth behind their son’s disappearance.
Litvinenko
In one of the most complex and dangerous cases of their careers, a group of determined detectives investigate the fatal poisoning of Russian defector Alexander Litvinenko.
Lopez v Lopez
George and Mayan, a once-estranged father and daughter, navigate dysfunction, reconnection and all the headaches and joy in between as they make up for lost time like only they can. With George back in the picture, he can always be counted on to provide Mayan with some unconventional parenting advice about her son, Chance — while saving a few lighthearted barbs for her boyfriend, Quinten, for good measure.
Then there’s George’s ex-wife, Rosie, who hasn’t quite forgiven him, but they’re staying on good terms… mostly. In the end, the Lopez clan gets by with a little drama, a lot of love and a lifetime of laughter.
Malpractice
Shot in and around Leeds, `Malpractice’ is a cat-and-mouse thriller following a medical investigation that tells the story of a damaged doctor caught up in a dangerous conspiracy. Dr Lucinda Edwards is a smart, battle-hardened doctor under investigation after an overdose patient dies. Despite the support of her medical supervisor, the grieving father demands an inquiry into her actions. As the pressure of the investigation intensifies, Lucinda’s confident professional exterior begins to deteriorate.
