Upcoming Highlights include:
- After sweeping the Golden Globes last week, Emilia Pérez is the film on everyone’s lips, a swaggering musical crime thriller, with a storyline that’s audacious, unique and utterly absorbing.
- Nicole Kidman’s erotic thriller Babygirl, a raw and unflinching exploration of intimacy, power and control, offering a gripping and challenging portrayal of a woman caught between societal expectations and personal desires.
- Call Me By Your Name director Luca Guadagnino’s mesmerizing Queer, starring Daniel Craig as an American expatriate living an isolated life in Mexico City whose world changes when he encounters a vibrant young student.
- Better Man, an extraordinary cinematic journey that chronicles the life of British pop sensation Robbie Williams. From his meteoric rise to stardom to his dramatic fall and eventual redemption and resurgence, the film offers a fascinating insight into fame via one of the greatest entertainers of our time.
- Critically acclaimed Oscar contender Anora about a young, highly spirited sex worker from Brooklyn. From Palme d’Or winning director Sean Baker (The Florida Project), few films deliver such a fresh story.
- Hollywood stuntman blockbuster, The Fall Guy. Filmed on and around Sydney Harbour, this hilarious, hard-driving, all-star action thriller is one of our favourite films from 2024. What better way to watch Ryan Gosling chase bad guys across the Sydney Harbour than from the world’s most beautiful cinema set against the iconic backdrop itself!
- Classic romantic comedies Bridget Jones’s Diary, thehilarious commentary on modern womanhood starring Renee Zellweger in a career-defining role; and Ryan Gosling-Emma Stone-starrer Crazy, Stupid, Love, a film that celebrates all the pain and joy of love.
- Parthenope from Italian maestro Paolo Sorrentino (The Great Beauty, Youth, Loro, The Hand Of God). Where The Great Beauty was a tribute to Rome, Parthenope is a homage to Naples. Variety hailed the film as “Beguiling. An exquisite treatise on cinematic beauty.”
