‘The X Factor’ slammed following use of Auto-Tune

Following the season premiere in the UK last week, Simon Cowell’s ‘The X Factor’ has been slammed by viewers after it was revealed that the show used Auto-Tune to enhance the voices of its contestants.
“Cannot believe they autotuned her — obviously the producers of ‘X Factor’ didn’t think she was good enough,” said one enraged fan.
Producers of the show confirmed the use of Auto-Tune tools, which a spokesman for the show said was necessary due of the number of microphones used while filming.
According to reports by the British media, Cowell has since expressed his desire to ban the production team from using the technology again.
Presumably that applies for all international editions of the show too?
‘The X Factor’ is set to re-launch in Australia 7.30pm next Monday on Seven.
