Seven have announced that Luke Jacobz will replace Matthew Newton as host of ‘The X Factor’.
Jacobz will assume hosting duties for the show when it premieres 7.30pm next Monday on Seven.
“I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of the The X Factor – I’m raring to go,” said Jacobz.
“It’s a big opportunity, and I feel very blessed to be on board. What I love the most about this gig is that we are going to unearth some brilliant Aussie singers, of all different ages. I can’t wait to see the judges get fired up – I know they are a competitive bunch, so there should be plenty of fireworks each week.”
Jacobz previously hosted ‘Popstars Live’ for Seven back in 2004. He is currently starring as Angelo Rosetta on the network’s long-running soap ‘Home and Away’.
‘The X Factor’ kicks off 7.30pm next Monday with the Audition rounds, continuing Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 7.30pm.
