Simon Pegg to reprise ‘Mission Impossible’ role

Heat Vision reports that Simon Pegg (‘Spaced’, ‘Hot Fuzz’, ‘Star Trek’) is in talks to return for ‘Mission: Impossible IV’.
The 40-year old actor/comedian would reprise his role as the geeky IMF lab technician Benji Dunn from J.J. Abrams’ ‘Mission: Impossible III’.
Paramount Pictures have yet to green-light the project, but it is expected to receive the go ahead and commence production in September.
The fourth installment of the ‘Mission: Impossible’ franchise will be helmed by director Brad Bird (‘The Incredibles’, ‘The Iron Giant’) and producer J.J. Abrams (‘Star Trek’, ‘Lost’, ‘Alias’).
The script was written by screenwriting duo Andre Nemec and Josh Appelbaum (‘Alias’, ‘Life on Mars’), based on an idea by Abrams.
The film being targeted for a December 16, 2011 release in the States.
