In tonight’s episode of ‘MasterChef Australia’ the final five amateur cooks faced off in the kitchen in the “mystery box from hell”.

As the prize for winning yesterday’s pressure test, Jimmy was given the massive advantage of choosing all the ingredients for tonight’s challenge. The selection of ingredients played strongly to his hand, including chillies, chickpea flour and garam masala.

To make things even more challenging, the contestants were tasked to complete two dishes — one savoury, one sweet.

While it presented to be a very challenging 90 minutes, there were no complete disasters, unlike yesterday’s V8 meltdown.

It came down to Claire and Courtney as the bottom two contestants, each presenting somewhat problematic dishes.

Unfortunately for Courtney, the judges decided her dishes were the least impressive and she was eliminated from ‘MasterChef’ kitchen for the second time.

While her dream to win the title of Australia’s next ‘MasterChef’ were over, Courtney said she hoped to continue her passion for food by starting up her own catering business.
