Jonathan Daddia eliminated from ‘MasterChef Australia’

Just as we were recovering from the shock elimination of Marion Grasby last week, last night ‘MasterChef Australia’ served up another surprise elimination with the departure of Jonathan Daddia.
The “terminator”, as he’s been known in the ‘MasterChef’ kitchen, was widely believed to be the next frontrunner to take out the competition. But as he took to his ninth elimination round, Daddia succumbed to pressure and failed to deliver against returning chefs Jimmy and Courtney.
As the three amateur cooks battled it out over a highly technical dish by Christine Mansfield, it was Jimmy and Courtney who were left standing when they finally revealed their finished product.
“When they told me I was out I was disappointed, but I’ve had a great time,” says Jonathan.
“I’ve been in so many eliminations and there’s only so many I could have endured before being knocked out. I was actually pretty happy to go out the way I did and I thought my dish was good.”
With the two frontrunners of the competition eliminated in span of one week, it leaves many guessing who may win the crown of Australia’s next ‘MasterChef’.
The season finale of ‘MasterChef Australia’ concludes Sunday, July 25 on Ten.
