Javier Bardem is set to guest-star on ‘Glee’ next season.

The 41-year-old will play a rock star who befriends the wheelchair-bound Artie (Kevin McHale).

“We’re going to rock the house,” said Bardem. “We’re going to do some heavy metal — Spanish heavy metal, which is the worst.”

The idea for Bardem’s role in ‘Glee’ was actually the actor’s own, which he pitched to co-creator Ryan Murphy after watching the entire first season in one week.

Bardem, who won an Oscar for his role in the 2007 film ‘No Country for Old Men’, will next appear opposite Julia Roberts in ‘Eat, Pray, Love’, which was directed by Murphy.

The season finale of ‘Glee’ air 8.30pm Thursday on Ten.
