ABC announces ‘Gruen Nation’

ABC today announced the development of ‘Gruen Nation’, a series of 45-minute ‘Gruen Transfer’ spin-off specials to be broadcast during the upcoming federal election.
‘Gruen Nation’ will be hosted by Wil Anderson and will feature ‘Gruen Transfer’ regulars Todd Sampson and Russel Howcroft, as they delve into the sometimes harsh and cutt-throat world of political advertising and campaigning.
The panel will be joined by political insiders and campaign veterans, who will help dissect each week’s events as they unfold.
“An election campaign is about show business. But while everyone else will be busy discussing the business, at Gruen Nation we’re only interested in the show,” said producer Jon Casimir.
“We’ll be trying to find out why is the election jingle extinct? And, if Filippino politicians can make campaign ads dressed as superheroes, why can’t ours?”
ABC’s Head of Arts and Entertainment, Amanda Duthie, said; “Gruen Nation will be just as fast, funny and entertaining as The Gruen Transfer. It will be an enlightening look at the political spin around this very important election.”
‘Gruen Nation’ is a Zapruder’s Other Films and ABC co-production.
