According to ComicBookMovie.com, Joss Whedon’s ‘Avengers’ flick is borrowing some more talent from the TV pool.

‘Desperate Housewives’ star Eva Longoria Parker is believed to be on board for the superhero project, while ‘Castle’ star Nathan Fillion is in final negotiations to join the film.

Longoria Parker will play Janet Van Dyne, also known as The Wasp.

Fillion, who has previously worked with Whedon on a number of projects — including the short-lived sci-fi drama ‘Firefly’ and big screen adaptation ‘Serenity’ — will play Dr. Henry “Hank” Pym, who later becomes known as Ant-Man.

It’s unclear whether the stars will appear as just their pre-superhero characters in the film, or if they’re set to take on the costume-wearing counterparts too.

If this rumour is true, Fillion and Longoria Parker will join Robert Downey, Jr., Don Cheadle, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Edward Norton and Chris Evans in the 2012 blockbuster from Marvel Studios.
