The Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games commence October 3.

According the The Sunday Telegraph, Geoff Huegill, Leisel Jones, Matthew Mitcham and Steve Hooker have signed as ambassadors for FOXTEL’s upcoming coverage of the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Dehli.

The sports stars will be heavily involved in a marketing and promotional campaign, which is aimed at selling subscription television packages for the pay-TV providers games coverage.

FOXTEL, who share the official broadcast rights to the 2010 Commonwealth Games with Network Ten, will screen the games over 12 dedicated 24/7 sports channels (6 SD and 6 HD), in addition to exclusive online and mobile distribution platforms.

FOXTEL will also provide enhanced games coverage through constantly updating statistics and information via the pay-TV providers interactive services.

Pricing is yet to be announced for these services.

The Dehli 2010 Commonwealth Games will run from October 3-14 this year.
