The alien invasion isn’t going anywhere — at least according to showrunner Scott Rosenbaum, who confirmed the pick up on Twitter.
ABC have picked up ‘V’ for a 13-episode second season, off the back of its debut season, which concludes next week on ABC.
Meanwhile, the network have dropped the axe on ‘FlashForward’ which has continued on a downward spiral since last September.
Both ‘V’ and ‘FlashForward’ have struggled creatively this season, both seeing a number of behind the scenes staff changes. However, it seems ‘V’ has managed to recover from this slight obstacle, prompting ABC to give it another shot next season.
Finally, Entertainment Weekly reports that ABC have also cancelled comedy series ‘Romantically Challenged’, ‘Scrubs’ and ‘Better Off Ted’.
‘Challenged’, which stars Alyssa Milano and Australia’s Josh Lawson, premiered a mere three weeks ago on ABC. However, the traditional 3-camera sitcom has struggled to retain even half its 16 million viewer lead-in from ‘Dancing with the Stars’.
With so many cancellations and gaps in ABC’s schedule, look forward to some bold new shows on ABC this September.
