Five new shows, five new hits

Viewers have voted with their remotes to welcome Channel Seven’s five new Australian series into their lounge rooms this week.

New factual shows ‘Air Ways’ and ‘World’s Strictest Parents’, returning favourite ‘Surf Patrol’ with Tom Williams and crack-up comedy duo ‘Double Take’ and ‘TV Burp’ found immediate fan bases on their first outings.

  • ‘Surf Patrol’ premiered with an average national audience of 1.485 million viewers with host Tom Williams.
  • ‘Air Ways’ took off on Tuesday with an average 1.548 million viewers.
  • ‘World’s Strictest Parents’ impressed with a first average audience of 1.539 viewers, beaten only by Seven News to come second on Wednesday night overall and with viewers 25 to 54-years.
  • ‘Double Take’ premiered with an average of 1.084 million viewers and was Thursday’s number one show with 25 to 54-year-old viewers.
  • ‘TV Burp’, with an average audience of 1.007 million viewers, combined with ‘Double Take’ to form a winning combination with viewers 25 to 54 years on Thursday. ‘TV Burp’ was the night’s number one show with 16 to 39-year-old viewers.
